Winter/Spring 2025 Growth Groups
A Growth Group at Hebron is a midsized group of people who gather to seek God and grow in their love for Jesus by engaging the scriptures. They build friendships by sharing each other’s burdens, praying together and helping one another become like Jesus. They do what Jesus did by serving in our church and local community.
Growth Groups meet in homes throughout the community and here at church. They generally meet 12 weeks for Bible Study, fellowship, prayer and will plan to serve together during the semester or attend a community event. Growth Groups provide a safe place where you are cared for, loved and are nurtured as we learn to love God more and love out the Gospel.

Women’s Bible Workshop- Trusting God (yet craving control)
Control can be so sneaky. How many times have we found ourselves disappointed, disillusioned or heartbroken because something didn’t turn out the way we expected? All because we thought, on some level, that we could control every aspect of something, or someone, or even ourselves. Control. Who is really in control? Why do I so often feel out of control and that I have very little control? I feel like the world (and my world) is often spinning out of control. Is it? Come and grow with us – let’s explore God’s Word together as we lean in to trusting Him with our entire lives.
2025 Faith & Life Conference-Take Courage
What are you afraid of? The dark? Noises in the dark? Maybe it’s living out your faith or starting that new thing. Perhaps it’s going on a short-term mission trip. It could be attending a growth group or having family devotions. Maybe it’s telling your best friend about Jesus. Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
If you have been afraid then you will not want to miss Hebron Church’s 2025 Faith & Life Conference. This year’s conference is an exciting half-day event designed for the whole family. (Childcare is provided for children 1 through 3rd grade. Please indicate on the sign-up if you require childcare.) Join us on Saturday, March 8 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, doors open at 8:30 AM in Hebron Church’s Barclay Building. We are located at 10460 Frankstown Road in Penn Hills in the heart of Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs. You will be challenged to live with courage as you face the challenges of this journey called life. This event includes brunch, great fellowship and three dynamic faith leaders who bring their unique stories about living with courage. Our speakers include Keith Balkey, a Hebron Church Elder and business leader, Jay Mitlo, the pastor of Faith Community Church in Penn Hills and Doug Smith, the Assistant Executive Director at Light of Life Rescue Mission. Cost is $10 a person or $25 per family.
