How often are we guilty of rushing to the next thing? We are caught up in crossing off the latest item from our to-do list and getting to the next thing. As we head toward Christmas, the feeling of being overwhelmed likely only intensifies.
Our society may say this is normal, but we were not made for this. God built in a pattern of rest and work into our being. He also made us limited. The limits of what a human body can accomplish are there for a reason. When we are at our wit’s end, then and too often only then will we reach out for help. As 2023 wraps up, it is our wish that you remember to turn to God before you reach the end of your strength. Remember His faithfulness to you before, and how He supplies all your needs in the present and in the future. Remember that faithfulness in terms of your volunteering, as well as your giving. God has given us everything that we enjoy in life, and out of our own joy, we should be excited to give back to Him and show our dependence and thankfulness for all that we celebrate.
