All Hands on Deck

It’s November and Hebron has just finished an 8-week study of the Essentials of the Reformed faith, which are also the foundational beliefs we, at Hebron, have long held onto and espoused.  We are confident that you first chose Hebron as your church because we have always tried to be a Light on the Hill to witness faithfully to our Triune God.  If you missed any or all of these sessions, we invite you to go online and check them out. You can simply call the church office (412-371-2307) and ask for the links to them.

So where are we now and where do we go from here?  We have tried to show not only these basics beliefs, but also how the PCUSA has drifted away from and even abandoned many, if not all, of them. We feel saddened that they have gone in the direction of much of our secular culture, which we believe is why the PCUSA has seen such a huge decline in membership and why so many churches have left the denomination in the past 2 decades.  As a church that is made up of its members, we truly need “all hands on deck.”  This is not a time for apathy or indifference, as your valuation of the ministry of Hebron, your involvement in this process, your preparation to make decisions, and your understanding of the options and potential costs will determine Hebron’s future!  How valuable is the ministry at Hebron to you?

Please demonstrate this by attending the November 5th meeting to become more informed and to voice your thoughts on the issue.  We will seek the informed input of all members in the not-too-distant future, as we move forward in making decisions as to the future of Hebron Presbyterian Church.  It is an exciting time as we seek to boldly stand up for our Lord and Savior.  Come be a part of it, and please keep praying for wisdom, boldness, and discernment.  To God be the Glory!!
